Tournament History


An annual tournament was started in 2003 for the purpose of promoting badminton and volleyball, the two very popular indoor games among the people of Kerala.

The tournament was named Kairali Ever Rolling Trophy Tournament and is held on the second weekend of May every year. It is open to all Malayalees dwelling in Canada. Each year the tournament is hosted by different Registered Non-profit Sports Clubs in and around Ontario including Hamilton, Etobicoke, Brampton, Markham and Scarborough.

The initial foundations of this tournament, which has now become a very important annual event in the life of Malayalees in Ontario was laid by the selfless efforts of the members of Kairali Sports Club Hamilton.

Eligibilty


All tournament participants MUST be able to establish their origin from, or relationship with, the state of Kerala in India. Specifically, a player must have been born of at least one Malayalee parent.

Kairali Sports Club Hamilton is to uphold THE VALUES AND BY-LAWS of the tournament to maintain uniformity of all actions and decisions.
